OVERVIEW
The Variant 3 is KW's two-way adjustable coilover and the one most people actually want. Compression and rebound are on separate adjusters, so you can firm up body control without also killing rebound compliance, and ride height is continuously adjustable across the kit's range. It is the sensible step up from a spring-only kit and a large step up from the factory strut.
The stock damper is the limiting part on the E89 Z4. Factory valving is a single fixed compromise and the ride height is whatever the car left the line at. The V3 replaces the whole strut with a rebuildable, height-adjustable, damping-adjustable unit.
This listing covers 35220072 for the E89 Z4 without factory Adaptive Drive (EDC). Cars with Adaptive Drive need 35220087, KW's Bundle with the ESC cancellation module, sold as a separate listing.
