KW Coilover Kit Variant 4 (V4) 3-Way Adjustable – BMW M8 (F91 / F92 / F93)

OVERVIEW

The KW Variant 4 is KW's three-way adjustable coilover for fast road and track use. Low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound are set on separate adjusters, so body control over curbs and big compressions can be dialed in without also making the car harsh over small inputs. That separation is the whole point of a 3-way damper and it is what the Variant 3 cannot do.

On the F9X M8 the factory adaptive damper strategy will not let you separate spring rate from damping, and the electronic dampers are tied into the car's driving-mode software. The V4 replaces the strut assembly outright with an adjustable-height, adjustable-damping unit.

This listing covers the F9X M8. 3A7200CW is the Bundle for the M8 Coupe (F92) and Convertible (F91). 3A7200DZ is the Bundle for the M8 Gran Coupe (F93). Both include the KW ESC/EDC cancellation module for the factory adaptive dampers.

• Both 3A7200CW and 3A7200DZ are Bundle kits and already include the ESC/EDC cancellation module; no separate module purchase is needed.
• A corner-balance and a full four-wheel alignment are required after installation, and matter even more on an AWD car. Budget for both before the car is driven.

• KW's own fitment chart for 3A7200CW lists the F92 M8 Coupe only (Base model year 2020; Competition 2020 and 2022–2025) — KW does not publish an F91 Convertible fitment for this Bundle part number, and independent KW dealers (Vividracing, BimmerWorld, Springrates, TAG Motorsports, iND Distribution) describe 3A7200CW the same way, as an F92 Coupe-only kit. Convertible rows have been removed; contact us if you need a Convertible-specific KW bundle confirmed with KW North America.
