KW H.A.S. Height Adjustable Spring Kit – BMW M3 / M4 (F80 / F82)

OVERVIEW

KW H.A.S. (Height Adjustable Spring) kits are an alternative to conventional lowering springs that removes the fixed-drop compromise. The KW height adjuster lets you set and re-set vehicle ride height after the kit is installed, so the car gets a more dynamic stance while steering response and agility improve over the standard damper setup.

Because the factory dampers stay in the car, all driver assistance systems and comfort features of the factory adaptive or electronic suspension remain operational and work with the vehicle-specific spring setup. KW uses chrome-silicon steel springs with rates developed for the specific OE damper and wheel load of each application, so the spring rates pair correctly with the different damper characteristics of the factory adaptive suspension.

Each kit includes vehicle-specific bump stops with a dust protection system to shield the factory suspension from road grime and debris. The included dust protection elements and spring perches are set up for the maximum lowering that is technically possible, which is normally limited by the factory dampers. As with all KW products, the parameters and spring specifications are developed and validated on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and in KW's 7-post Driving Dynamic Test Center.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment — mandatory after installation and after any change in ride height.
• Professional installation — KW specifies fitment by a qualified suspension shop; spring compressors are required.
• Driver-assistance cameras and radar require recalibration after the car is lowered.
• Confirm tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance with your wheel and tire package before setting final ride height.
• Factory dampers must be in serviceable condition; worn OE dampers should be replaced before fitting height adjustable springs.
