MHD Super License – BMW S58 (M2 / M3 / M4 / X3M / X4M)

OVERVIEW

The MHD Flasher F+G Series is a complete flash tuning application for your BMW S58 M car. Unlike a piggyback module it performs full DME remapping while retaining all OEM safety mechanisms, which allows for maximum performance, maximum safety and unrivaled drivability.

You can install MHD at home and start tuning immediately. Download the MHD Flasher F+G Series app, connect the MHD wireless adapter to your vehicle's OBD-II port and pair it to your Apple iOS or Android device, then start the app — the initial installation completes in about 3.5 minutes with the MHD WiFi adapter. Further map changes take only roughly 20 seconds. You can return the vehicle to the factory OEM flash at any point, and no initial backup is required.

The Super License bundles every MHD function in one package: the Flasher license, the Monitor (datalogging and gauge) license and the full library of off-the-shelf maps for your engine.

• MHD+ advanced Motiv ReFlex integration: full 2-way CANBUS, DME limp on PI injector error, DME control of external wastegates and full control of supplemental port injection and its auxiliary outputs

• MHD+ KnockCEL for custom tunes — blinks the CEL if timing corrections reach a tuner-set threshold
• MHD+ MaxCool: activates the fan, sets a 72°C coolant target, activates the electronic thermostat and sets the water pumps to high cooling mode; enabled from the LIVE tab under MHD+ Live Adjust
• MHD Real-Time Tuning: live editing of all major tables, including map switch and flex fuel slots, with the engine running

• Advanced parameters not exposed by BMW are available, such as timing corrections per cylinder, boost setpoint and active torque limiter
• Read / delete engine fault codes and reset adaptations

• Custom tuner maps and JB4 backend maps can be loaded in addition to the MHD OTS maps

• Access to the full MHD off-the-shelf map library for this engine, including the ethanol blend maps

• No hardware is included with the license-only variant. The bundle variant on this listing adds the MHD WiFi adapter.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• MHD Universal WIFI Adapter — required to flash. The license is software only; you must have a supported interface to connect the app to the car. Not included with the license-only variant of this listing.
• Alternative supported interface if you already own one: ENET cable plus a Lightning adapter (iOS only). MHD recommends its own WiFi adapter and cannot support third-party hardware.
• An Apple iOS 10.2+ or Android 6+ mobile device running the free MHD Flasher app — supplied by the customer.
• A free MHD account. Give us the account e-mail and the vehicle VIN at checkout; the license is bound to both.
• A battery charger or maintainer. MHD states a charger is highly recommended for the initial full write (install and uninstall) and for long writes on slower adapters.
• A DME unlock. MHD states that cars with the newest BMW software require a DME bench unlock to enable OBD flashing regardless of production date.
• FEMTO unlock for DMEs produced after 06/2020. MHD states these can only be tuned with a special unlock by FEMTO, which requires the DME to be sent to FEMTO in Finland; MHD then detects the FEMTO unlock automatically. Flashing back to stock fully removes the unlock and the DME must be unlocked again. Contact Speed Logic to arrange an S58 unlock.
• Optional — to run the FlexFuel maps you also need an ethanol content analyzer: MHD FlexFuel Kit - BMW G Series / Toyota Supra.

The MHD WiFi adapter is not included with the license-only variant. Cars produced after 06/2020 require a FEMTO unlock before they can be tuned. Confirm your build date and DME software version with Speed Logic before ordering.
