Pure Turbos PURE900 Turbo Upgrade – BMW B58 G-Series (Gen 2)

OVERVIEW

Pure Turbos’ industry-leading B58 New Pure900 for the second-generation B58 BMW platform, supplied on a brand new aftermarket housing. No core is required and no core fee applies.

It uses a Pure Turbos billet compressor wheel, a larger and stronger turbine wheel and an upgraded bearing housing, and is VSR high-speed balanced. A hi-flow silicone inlet pipe kit is included. Pure engineered and proved the Pure900 to support 800whp+ with suitable supporting modifications and fuel. Currently offered in 6-port configuration; a 2-port option is listed by Pure as coming soon.

Additional Parts Required

• A custom ECU tune is mandatory. Pure Turbos states: “DO NOT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE WITHOUT A PROPER TUNE.” Tune options we stock: MHD Super License for F+G Series B58, bootmod3 B58 tune, JB4 Tuner for B58 Gen1 & Gen2
• New gaskets and O-rings. Pure Turbos: “Always, use new gaskets and O-rings (where applicable).” These are not supplied with the turbocharger.
• No core turbochargers or core deposit are needed for this version — it ships on a new aftermarket housing.
• Fueling headroom for the higher power targets: an E85 blend, an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump and/or port injection. The stock fuel system will not reach this turbo’s ceiling on pump gas alone.

Installation

• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube and break-in procedure (manufacturer FAQ): pureturbos.com/faq — pre-lube the turbocharger through the oil inlet, spin the compressor wheel to coat the bearings, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost/light throttle until the car is properly tuned
• Professional installation is strongly recommended; turbocharger removal and refitting requires the correct torque specs, clean oil and coolant feed lines and a full oil service.

• Confirm whether your car is a 2-port or 6-port B58 before ordering — Pure currently supplies this turbo in 6-port form.
