Pure Turbos PURE650 (NEW) Turbo Upgrade – BMW B58 G-Series (Gen 2)

OVERVIEW

The Pure650 (NEW) is Pure Turbos' turbo upgrade for the second-generation (Gen 2) B58 3.0L engine, built on a new aftermarket housing to the OEM design for a direct-fit installation. It pairs a billet compressor wheel with a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded center housing rotating assembly (CHRA). Pure Turbos rates it as 600+ whp capable, with results depending on fuel and supporting modifications.

Because it uses a new housing, there is no core exchange and no core deposit; your factory turbo stays with you. It is offered in 6-Port and 2-Port manifold versions.

Additional Parts Required

• Custom ECU tune: required by Pure Turbos for engine safety and to reach the rated power. Tune options we stock: MHD Super License for B58 (F + G Series), Bootmod3 B58 tune, JB4 Tuner for B58 Gen 1 & Gen 2. Ask Speed Logic for a recommended calibrator.
• Turbo gaskets, O-rings, and oil and coolant line seals: single-use items that should be replaced during installation; not supplied with the turbocharger.
• Supporting fuel system: needed at higher power levels, e.g. an E85 blend with an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump such as the Dorch Stage 2.5 HPFP Upgrade – B58 Gen 2, or a flex-fuel kit such as the MHD FlexFuel Kit (Automatic) – G-Series. Confirm your fueling before ordering; we can advise.

Installation

• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube, break-in and core-return guide (PDF): pure-turbos-install-and-break-in-guide.pdf. Pre-lube the turbocharger through the oil inlet, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost / light throttle until the car is properly tuned.
• Pour clean engine oil into the turbo oil inlet and spin the compressor wheel by hand to coat the bearings, then idle 5–10 minutes without revving.
• Professional installation is recommended.

Notes

• Choose the Turbo Manifold Type that matches your car: 6-Port (2020+ Z4 / M240i / M340i / M440i / X3 / X4) or 2-Port (2020+ Z4 / 540i / X5 / X6 / X7). The two are not interchangeable. Contact Speed Logic to confirm fitment for the 640i, 740i or 840i.
• The included Pure Turbos Hi-Flow inlet is compatible with the factory airbox and most upgraded intake systems, but it is not a direct fit with the Eventuri intake system.
• B58 Gen 2 (2020+) only. Gen 1 cars (F-Series 340i / 440i / M240i / M140i and pre-2020 G-Series) take the B58 Gen 1 range.
• Toyota GR Supra (A90 / A91) owners should order from our separate GR Supra listing.
• Pure Turbos includes a limited 1-year / unlimited-mile warranty.
