OVERVIEW

The Pure Stage 2+ is Pure Turbos' OEM-based turbo upgrade for the S58 engine in the G-Series BMW M2, M3 and M4 and the F97 X3 M / F98 X4 M. Pure rebuilds factory S58 turbochargers with a billet compressor wheel, a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), while keeping the OEM housings for a factory-like installation. Pure Turbos rates the upgrade as 900+ whp capable, with results depending on fuel and supporting modifications.

This is a core-exchange upgrade. Choose whether to send your factory turbos to Pure first, or pay a refundable core deposit and return your cores after your upgraded turbos arrive.

Turbo gaskets, oil and coolant line seals: single-use items that should be replaced during installation.

Installation

Pure Turbos turbocharger FAQ: install and operation (pre-lube, first start and break-in). Pre-lube the turbo through the oil inlet and spin the compressor wheel by hand, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost / light throttle until the car is tuned.
Pure Turbos does not publish model-specific installation instructions or videos for this upgrade; professional installation is recommended.
Pure Turbos core return sheet (PDF): print it, fill it in and include it with your core shipment.
Before sending cores to Pure, remove all accessories and hardware from them (oil lines, coolant lines, actuators, inlets and similar). Pure discards anything that is not part of the core unit.
