Bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit High-Flow – BMW G-Series (S58)

OVERVIEW

The bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit – High Flow puts the required flex fuel hardware on your BMW or A9X Supra with minimal effort, in your own driveway. The kit is entirely plug and play with the factory vehicle harness — no cutting or splicing of OEM wiring or connectors — and it can be removed again without a trace on the car.

Bootmod3 designed the Flow Optimized Flex Fuel Sensor Adapter (FFSA) in SolidWorks so that fuel flow stays unobstructed with no added pressure drop at full fuel pump flow, which matters when the factory fuel system is being pushed with the power ethanol can provide over gasoline. The sensor housing is shaped to install neatly into the factory BMW fuel hat location, and it carries two 1/8 NPT ports so an auxiliary fuel pressure sensor can be added on vehicles that do not have one from the factory. Depending on fitment, either port can be used.

Install the kit, flash a flex-fuel-enabled bootmod3 OTS MultiMap or custom map, and you no longer have to think about the alcohol/gasoline blend percentage in the tank.

Additional Parts Required

• Bootmod3 license for the S58 engine — required. The ECA reports ethanol content to bootmod3 CustomROM; without an active bootmod3 license on the vehicle the kit has nothing to talk to.
• A flex-fuel-enabled bootmod3 OTS MultiMap or a custom map from a bootmod3 tuner — required to actually use the ethanol reading. Custom tune fees are charged by the tuner.
• E85 or an ethanol/gasoline blend — the kit measures blend content; it does not add fuel system capacity.
• Optional: an auxiliary fuel pressure sensor, if your vehicle did not come with one from the factory and you want bootmod3 CustomROM v2 fuel pressure support. The adapter provides the 1/8 NPT ports; the sensor is not included.
• Rear seat removal and basic hand tools for access to the factory fuel hat, supplied by the installer.
