OVERVIEW

bootmod3 is the world’s first, most advanced and most widely adopted cloud-based flash tuning platform for BMW F and G series vehicles. This listing is the bootmod3 flash tuning license for the S55 engine.

Build the tune for your S55-powered vehicle and go from stock to full race calibration, and everywhere in between, with a map switch in the mobile app. bootmod3 calibrates the factory vehicle modules over the OBD port in a matter of minutes, in your own driveway or anywhere internet access is available.

S55 licenses include bootmod3 CustomROM, which adds on-the-fly map switching from the steering wheel cruise control buttons, flex fuel tuning, AntiLag, an expanded map editor and an in-dash ethanol content indicator.

PARTS INCLUDED

• One bootmod3 S55 flash tuning license, issued for a single vehicle. The license is tied to the VIN / DME it is activated against and is not transferable between vehicles.

• One off-the-shelf (OTS) map of your choice included with the purchase, plus any other maps labeled "FREE"
• Custom tuning support — the licensed vehicle can receive custom maps from any tuner in the bootmod3 Tuner Directory, and the built-in map editor is included
• Datalogging, Live Dash gauges, diagnostics and return-to-stock functionality for the licensed vehicle
• Activation link delivered by email within 12 hours of payment
• bootmod3 CustomROM feature set for the S55 engine, including the GTS/CS transmission flash for DCT-equipped vehicles

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Bench unlock — 2019+ S55 vehicles running March 2019 or later software. These cars cannot be unlocked over OBD and require a bench unlock before bootmod3 can be flashed. Contact Speed Logic before purchase if your car is a 2019 or later S55.
• Flex fuel hardware (optional, for flex fuel maps only) — CustomROM flex fuel tuning needs an ethanol content sensor kit. Speed Logic stocks the MHD FlexFuel Kit for F Series B48/B58/N55/S55, which fits the S55 fuel system.
• OBD-to-Ethernet (ENET) cable — required for laptop flashing. This is the generic cable also used for OEM BMW programming with factory software tools. Speed Logic does not currently stock this cable; source a standard OBD2-to-Ethernet BMW coding cable.
• bootmod3 OBD WiFi Adapter — optional alternative to a laptop, and available on this listing as a bundle option in the variant selector. It removes the need to use a laptop in the car. It is not required to use the bootmod3 platform.
• A compatible device — either a laptop running Windows or macOS with the Google Chrome browser, or an iOS / Android phone running the bootmod3 app.
• A USB-to-Ethernet adapter — only if your laptop has no built-in Ethernet port.
• Battery charger or maintainer — bootmod3 strongly recommends supporting the vehicle battery during flashing. Speed Logic does not stock chargers; use a unit rated for your battery type.
• Windows Defender, macOS firewall and any third-party antivirus or network protection must be disabled for the duration of the flash, and any piggyback device must be removed from the vehicle.
