Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe Kit (HKS BOV) – BMW 135i / 335i N54 2006-2008 Short

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe Kit with HKS BOV flange replaces the factory diverter valve charge pipe on 2006–2008 (Short Version) BMW 135i and 335i with the N54 twin-turbo engine. It was developed on Evolution Racewerks' 135i Time Attack race car after the factory diverter valves could not hold up to high boost.

The factory pipe has a diverter valve sound baffle on its side that splits airflow and creates turbulence, slowing the charge air. This kit deletes the baffle and replaces the diverter valves with an HKS-pattern blow-off valve flange, improving throttle response, reducing turbo lag and raising power potential. Instead of the silicone-hose connection most competitors use, it keeps a factory-style O-ring and C-clip lock flange at the throttle body and a CNC machined MAP sensor flange with the factory O-ring seal, so the connections stay leak-free under boost.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish an installation guide or video for this charge pipe.
• Replaces the factory diverter valve charge pipe; reuses the factory throttle body O-ring and C-clip and the factory MAP sensor.
• Contact Speed Logic for installation support or a recommended installer.

Notes

• Short Version fits cars built before June 2009. Cars built June 2009 or later need the 2009–10 Long Version. Pre-06/2009 cars can also run the Long Version to replace the factory "accordion" rubber elbow.
