H&R Street Performance Coilover – BMW 528i / 535i / 550i (F10)

OVERVIEW

The H&R Street Performance Coil Over pairs a custom-valved damper with a progressive-rate H&R spring, so damping and spring rate are matched to each other rather than mixed and matched. This kit is built for the F10 5 Series without Electronic Damper Control (EDC).

A fully threaded shock body lets ride height be set continuously rather than in fixed steps, so the stance can be fine-tuned corner by corner while keeping a comfortable street ride.

• Approx. front lowering range: 1.3 – 2.4"
• Approx. rear lowering range: 1.2 – 2.2"
• Damper: custom-valved mono-tube gas shock, matched to a progressive-rate H&R spring
• Ride height: fully threaded shock body, continuously adjustable
• Springs manufactured in-house by H&R from 54SiCr6 alloy spring steel and shot-peened
• For cars without Electronic Damper Control (EDC)

Additional Parts Required

• Suspension configuration check — confirm your car does not have Electronic Damper Control (EDC) before ordering.
• Four-wheel alignment — H&R requires the wheel alignment to be checked and reset any time vehicle ride height is changed.
• Professional installation — H&R states that its suspensions should be installed by professional suspension mechanics only. Improper installation voids the H&R warranty.
• Wheel and tire clearance check — verify clearance at the fender, strut and inner arch at full lock and full compression.
• Installer-supplied tools: torque wrench and standard BMW suspension service tools.
