HKS Suspension Error Canceler – Toyota GR Supra A90/A91

OVERVIEW

Many GR Supras are fitted with electronically controlled adaptive dampers. Unplug them to fit coilovers and the car immediately detects a fault, showing a suspension warning in both the instrument cluster and the center display. The HKS Suspension Error Canceler (SEC) plugs into the factory damper connectors in place of the original dampers and stops those messages, so you can run aftermarket coilovers without living with a dash warning.

It is the companion part for HKS Hipermax R, Hipermax S and MAX IV SP Drag coilovers on adaptive-damper cars, and it also works with other aftermarket dampers. It is made exclusively for the GR Supra.

TECH RESOURCES

• Required extras: none.
• When you need it: any time the factory adaptive dampers are removed — for example with the HKS Hipermax R, the HKS Hipermax S 80330-AT023P or the HKS MAX IV SP Drag 80250-AT003D.
• When you do NOT need it: with the HKS Hipermax Touring springs (factory dampers stay), with the Hipermax S 80330-AT023CP or MAX IV SP Drag 80250-AT003DC (canceler already included), or on 2.0 cars with conventional dampers.

• Heat warning (HKS): do not remove the factory brake rotor backing plates, which shield the units from heat. On track, take extra heat-protection measures if the rotors run very hot.
• Not for the BMW Z4 G29.
