Injen SP Short Ram Intake SP1140 – BMW M240i / M340i / M440i (B58 Gen 2, G2x)

OVERVIEW

The Injen SP1140 is the SP series short ram intake for the second-generation B58 3.0L turbo six in BMW's G-chassis M240i, M340i and M440i, including the mild-hybrid models. It replaces the factory intake tract with a smooth, mandrel-bent, oversized 4.00" O.D. 6061-T6 aluminum tube for an uninterrupted, highly efficient path to the turbo.

A custom heat shield designed specifically for this application isolates the filter from engine bay heat while keeping an OE fit, and every tube is hand TIG-welded in Pomona, California. On the chassis dyno Injen recorded gains of up to 19 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque.

Air is drawn through a fully serviceable Injen SuperNano-Web dry air filter, and the system delivers an aggressive intake sound under throttle. It is offered in polished, wrinkle black and wrinkle red finishes and carries the Injen Technology Limited Lifetime Warranty.
