KW Variant 2 Coilovers – BMW 1 Series Coupe (E82)

OVERVIEW

KW Variant 2 is the sporty, personalized step up from V1, adding adjustable rebound damping to KW's height-adjustable coilover platform. It suits the driver who wants to choose both the ride height and the damper character rather than accept a single factory tune.

Adjusting rebound damping changes how the car controls pitch under braking and acceleration and how quickly it takes a set in roll, so the chassis can be tailored to your own driving preference and to the roads you actually use.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment. A full alignment is mandatory after installation and after any subsequent ride-height change.
• Professional installation. Fitment should be carried out by a qualified suspension shop; the kit changes suspension geometry and load paths.
• Tire-to-strut and fender clearance check. Verify clearance through full steering lock and suspension travel before driving, especially with aftermarket wheels, tires or spacers.
• Headlight leveling / ride-height sensor. Cars fitted with self-leveling xenon headlights carry a ride-height sensor link on the axle; it must be checked and re-indexed after lowering.
• Spring compressor, KW rebound adjuster and standard suspension service tools are supplied by the installer.
