Mishimoto Performance Air Intake – BMW S58 M2 / M3 / M4 (G87 / G80 / G82 / G83)

OVERVIEW

The S58 in the G8X M2, M3 and M4 breathes through two factory panel-filter airboxes, and the passenger-side tract in particular is a restriction once the car is tuned. Mishimoto's sealed performance intake replaces both sides with rotational-molded airboxes and tubes that keep engine-bay heat out of the intake air.

Dual-side ducts pull cool air from the wheel wells, and the oiled filters carry more surface area than the stock panels. Mishimoto measured 13% less restriction on the driver side and 22.8% on the passenger side, and rates the kit safe on a stock tune.

Notes

• Clean and re-oil the filters every 10,000–15,000 miles under normal driving, and more often in dusty conditions. Re-oiling is not covered by the warranty.
• Check every clamp, coupler and fitting for proper tightness before driving, and recheck them after the first few miles.
