OVERVIEW

A stock-location performance intake manifold for the N54, built from die-formed sheet metal with CNC billet ends rather than cast. Because it is fabricated rather than cast, it runs lower intake air temperatures than the cast aftermarket manifolds it competes with, and it weighs 14.8 lbs bare.

It is built for a fuel system that is going to grow. Center-flow port injection bungs accept all injector brands, there are six 1/8 in NPT direct-port ports for methanol or nitrous, and further expansion ports cover a blow-off valve, boost gauge and Hobbs switch. Proprietary machining lets it seal on the factory o-rings instead of gasket maker, and spacers for the injectors and rail are included so the o-ring seats at the correct height.

Additional Parts Required

  • Not included, required if you are not using the phenolic spacer: 1 x M7 x 1.0 x 35 mm bolt and 1 x M7 flat washer.
  • The factory-style airbox is NOT compatible with this manifold. Plan your intake before ordering.
  • Extended intake manifold studs are needed to clear the taller stack. Required, not stocked by Speed Logic: Extended Intake Manifold Studs (501-0018).
  • Fresh intake manifold o-rings if you are reusing anything. Required, not stocked by Speed Logic: Intake Manifold O-Rings, OE Spec, 6 Pack (501-0001).
  • Port injection injectors, a feed line and a controller if you intend to use the port injection bungs. Installation

  • Precision Raceworks does not publish an installation PDF for this manifold.
  • Depressurize the fuel system and drain coolant as required before removing the factory manifold.
  • Fit the supplied injector and rail spacers so each o-ring seats at the correct height - this is what allows the assembly to seal on o-rings rather than sealant.
  • Use extended studs, and torque the manifold down evenly in a cross pattern.
  • Blank any port injection or NPT ports you are not using, then leak- and boost-check before the first drive.
  • Professional installation is recommended.

Notes

  • This listing is the bare manifold with no injectors and no port injection fuel line. Precision Raceworks also sells it configured with 750cc or 950cc Bosch injectors and a top-mount AN6 fuel line, and in blue, red or silver as well as black - all at higher prices. Contact us if you want a configured manifold.
