Precision Raceworks Upgraded Direct Injectors – BMW N55 / S55

OVERVIEW

The factory direct injectors are one of the first hard limits on a built N55 or S55. These Precision Raceworks upgraded direct injectors, developed with NHP (Nostrum), are supplied as a flow-matched set of six and let the engine carry significantly more fuel without adding a port injection system. They can also be run alongside port injection on the biggest builds.

Two flow levels are offered. Stage 2 flows 55 percent over stock and, per Precision Raceworks, supports roughly 950 whp on gasoline or 715 whp on E85 without port injection. Stage 3 flows 85 percent over stock for builds that need more headroom. Both are compatible with E85 and other fuels.

Every injector is flow tested and calibrated individually, then matched into a set of six. The injectors are supported by MHD, bootmod3 and EcuTek; the install is a swap of the six injectors followed by coding and enabling the injector option in your tuning software. Precision Raceworks notes these only work on cars with the factory electronic wastegate (EWG).

Required Extras

• Supporting software tune required — sold separately. The injectors must be enabled in the tune: Bootmod3 Tune – BMW N55 (F-Chassis) or Bootmod3 S55 Tune – BMW M3 / M4 / M2 Competition (F8x). MHD and EcuTek also support these injectors.
• Direct injector removal tool, recommended by Precision Raceworks to make removal and installation easier — sold separately (not stocked by Speed Logic).
• Confirm the flow stage with your tuner before ordering so it matches your build target.

Installation

• Installation instructions are supplied with the kit; Precision Raceworks does not publish a public install guide for this part.
• Install involves replacing the six injectors, a small amount of coding, and enabling the injector option in your tuning software.
• Professional installation is recommended. Speed Logic can install this part — contact us for a quote.

Notes

• Only works with cars that have the factory electronic wastegate (EWG). Pneumatic wastegate (PWG) N55 cars are not supported.
• These replace the factory direct injectors; they are not supplemental port injection injectors.
• Stage 2 / Stage 3 whp figures are theoretical and depend on the complete fuel system and supporting modifications.
