SPL Rear Suspension Spherical Bushings – BMW E8X / E9X / F2X / F3X / F8X / G8X & 1M

OVERVIEW

Fitting adjustable rear arms only fixes half the problem: the arms still bolt into the knuckle and subframe through factory rubber bushings that keep deflecting under load, so rear camber and toe still move around under power. These press-in SPL Parts spherical bushings close that gap. Each replaces a specific factory rubber bush with a low friction, PTFE-lined FK spherical bearing that eliminates deflection and binding under heavy load, keeps camber and toe steady through suspension travel and reduces friction as the arm moves.

The rear lower control arm inner bushing (RLBI) replaces the large rubber bushing joining the lower control arm to the subframe on the E8X / E9X / F8X; SPL uses the largest, tightest-fitting spherical bearing FK offers for longevity and low NVH. The rear lower control arm knuckle bushing (RLCB) replaces the bushing at the knuckle end on the E8X / F2X / F3X / F8X / G8X. The rear traction arm knuckle bushing (RKB) does the same at the F2X / F3X traction arm. Housings are CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum cut to ±0.001" for proper fitment.

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment after installation — mandatory.
• A hydraulic press is required to remove the factory bushing and fit these. Budget shop time — this is not a driveway job.
• Professional installation is recommended; these are safety-critical suspension components.
• These complement the adjustable arms: SPL Rear Upper Camber Arms, SPL Rear Toe Links and SPL Rear Traction Links.

Notes

• Replaces BMW 33 32 6 770 829 (RLBI) and 33 32 6 775 552 / 33 32 6 756 249 (RLCB).
• Spherical bearings transmit more road noise and vibration into the cabin than the rubber bushings they replace. This is normal for this type of part.
