SPL Rear Upper Camber Arms – BMW E8X / E9X / F2X / F3X / F8X

OVERVIEW

SPL Parts TITANIUM Series Rear Upper Arms (RUA) greatly increase the range of rear camber adjustment for high performance street and track use, and are a must on lowered cars that need to meet alignment specification. The factory eccentric washer simply does not have enough range to bring rear camber back into spec once a car is lowered, and on the E8X / E9X the stock spot-welded sheet metal arms flex under load. The E8X / E9X and F8X kits replace both the rear guide (traction) links and the camber (wishbone) arms; the F2X / F3X kit replaces the upper camber arms.

Gun drilled, black anodized 2024 aluminum links combine with 6061-T6 aluminum 360-degree rotating clamps and blue anodized titanium socket head cap screws, so a single 3/16" allen key is all that is needed to lock down alignment settings — no jam nuts, no fighting bearing orientation. Custom three-piece FK rod ends made in Connecticut use a chemically bonded PTFE liner for quiet, low-friction, bind-free articulation that eliminates bushing deflection under hard cornering, acceleration and braking.

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment after installation — mandatory. Rear camber and toe both change when these arms are fitted.
• Professional installation is recommended; these are safety-critical suspension components.
• Corner weighting is recommended for track use.
• A 3/16" allen key is required to lock the rotating clamps; the installer supplies this.
• To use the full camber range on a lowered car, pair these with adjustable rear toe links: SPL Rear Toe Links – BMW E8X / E9X / F2X / F3X or, for the F8X, the SPL Rear Toe Links – BMW M3 / M4 (F8x / G8x).

Notes

• The G8X M2 / M3 / M4 version is listed separately: SPL Rear Upper Arms – BMW M3 / M4 (G8x).
• Spherical bearings transmit more road noise and vibration into the cabin than the rubber bushings they replace. This is normal for this type of part.
