TiAL Sport MV-SA 38mm Air-Cooled External Wastegate

OVERVIEW

The MV-SA is the air-cooled version of TiAL Sport's 38 mm MV-S. It spaces the diaphragm away from the main heat source and uses radiator-style cooling fins between the actuator top and the cast wastegate housing, so with enough airflow across the fins it can run without coolant lines to the actuator — useful on builds where plumbing water to a hot-side wastegate is awkward.

It ships with all six springs, so the boost target can be set on the bench rather than ordered blind.

Additional Parts Required

• Exhaust fabrication. The supplied flanges must be welded into the manifold or hot side. Spare flanges and clamps: TiAL Sport MV-S / MV-R Wastegate Flanges & V-Band Clamps.
• A boost control source — manual controller, electronic solenoid or ECU-driven.
• Airflow across the cooling fins. If the gate sits where air cannot reach it, use the water-cooled TiAL Sport MV-S 38mm External Wastegate instead.

Notes

• The MV-SA uses its own valve, part number 002015, which is not the same as the MV-S valve.
• Universal part: fits any turbocharged application with a hot side built for a 38 mm V-band wastegate.
• MV-Series gates are custom-built; TiAL notes assembly can take up to two weeks.
