AMS Performance BMW B58 Intake Manifold

OVERVIEW

The AMS Performance B58 intake manifold replaces the factory unit with a cast A356-T6 aluminum manifold built around parallel air-to-water intercooler cores rated for 1,250+ hp. Coolant enters at the middle of the split cores rather than one end, lowering pressure drop and matching the coolest water to the coolest air for more consistent charge cooling as power climbs. CFD-verified plenum and runner geometry equalizes airflow to within 0.5% across all six cylinders.

A flush-mounted -8AN auxiliary fuel rail with optimized injector angles supports optional port injection. It ships with billet plugs installed, so the manifold runs on factory direct injection out of the box and accepts port injectors whenever you're ready. It is a bolt-in install, keeps A/C, power steering and the OEM oil filter cap, and can be reversed to stock.

Additional Parts Required

• None for direct-injection-only use.
• For port injection, Bosch-style injectors are required (sold separately). AMS designed the rail for injectors such as Injector Dynamics 1050.34.14.14.6: Injector Dynamics ID1050x Fuel Injectors.

Notes

• Engine cover: Does not fit with the OEM engine cover.
• Oil filter cap: Designed for the OEM oil filter cap; aftermarket cap fitment is not guaranteed.
• Other B58 models: AMS lists the M440i (G22/G23/G26), M540i (G30/G31), Z4 M40i (G29) and other Gen 2 (B58C) models as likely but unconfirmed fits; Gen 1 B58 engines are not compatible. Contact us to confirm fitment beyond the M340i.
• Emissions: AMS Performance has not completed CARB/EPA compliance testing for this part. Not legal for emissions-controlled vehicles in California without a completed AMS race waiver.
