Pure Turbos Pure 900 Upgrade Turbos – BMW S63tu (F9x)

OVERVIEW

The Pure900 is Pure Turbos' OEM-based turbo upgrade for the S63TU4 engine in the F90 M5, F9X M8 and F95 / F96 X5 M and X6 M. Pure rebuilds the factory turbochargers with a billet compressor wheel, a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), while keeping the OEM housings for a factory-like installation. Pure rates its Pure900 S63TU upgrade as 900+ whp capable, with results depending on fuel and supporting modifications.

This is a core-exchange upgrade. Choose your model (F90 M5, or M8 / X5 M / X6 M), then choose whether to send your factory turbos to Pure first or pay a refundable core deposit and return your cores after your upgraded turbos arrive.

Additional Parts Required

• Custom ECU tune: required by Pure Turbos for engine safety and to reach the rated power. Tunes we stock: MHD Super License for S63, Bootmod3 S63TU4 tune (F9x), JB4 Tuner for S63 (F9x M5 / M8 / X5 M / X6 M).
• Turbo gaskets, oil and coolant line seals: single-use items that should be replaced during installation.
• Supporting fuel system: needed at higher power levels. Confirm your fueling before ordering; we can advise.

Installation

• Pure Turbos does not publish a model-specific installation guide for this upgrade (see the general install and break-in procedure below); professional installation is recommended.
• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube, break-in and core-return guide (PDF): pure-turbos-install-and-break-in-guide.pdf. Pre-lube the turbocharger through the oil inlet, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost / light throttle until the car is properly tuned.
• Pure Turbos core return sheet (PDF): pure-turbos-core-return-sheet.pdf. Print it, fill it in and include it with your core shipment.
• Before sending cores to Pure, remove all accessories and hardware from them (oil lines, coolant lines, actuators, inlets and similar). Pure discards anything that is not part of the core unit.

Notes

• Send-in option: lead time starts once Pure receives your turbos.
• Core deposit option: the $1,800 deposit is refunded once your factory turbos are returned to Pure within 60 days of receiving your upgrade.
• Choose the variant that matches your vehicle: F90 M5, or M8 / X5 M / X6 M.
• Pure Turbos includes a limited 1-year / unlimited-mile warranty.
