OVERVIEW

The bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit – High Flow makes getting the required flex fuel hardware onto your BMW or A9X Supra straightforward, in your own driveway. The kit is entirely plug and play with the factory vehicle harness — no cutting or splicing of OEM wiring or connectors. It installs in minutes and can be removed without a trace on the car.

bootmod3 designed the Flow Optimized Flex Fuel Sensor Adapter (FFSA) in SolidWorks so that fuel flow is unobstructed and adds no pressure drop at full fuel pump flow from the tank to the motor. That matters when pushing the factory fuel system with the power ethanol can provide over gasoline. The sensor housing is designed to install neatly into the factory BMW fuel hat location.

Install the kit, flash a flex fuel enabled bootmod3 OTS MultiMap or custom map, and the alcohol/gasoline blend percentage in your tank is handled automatically — no re-flashing between fills.

Additional Parts Required

• A flex fuel enabled bootmod3 tune license. The hardware does nothing without a flex fuel enabled bootmod3 OTS MultiMap or custom map. For the Supra, see the BOOTMOD3 A90 A91 Toyota Supra B58 Engine Tune. For the BMW Z4 M40i, see the BOOTMOD3 B58 Engine Tune.
• A means of flashing the tune — an OBD-to-Ethernet (ENET) cable with a Windows or macOS laptop running Google Chrome, or a bootmod3 OBD WiFi Adapter with the iOS / Android app. Speed Logic does not currently stock a standalone ENET cable.
• E85 or ethanol-blended fuel. The kit only measures and reports ethanol content — you supply the fuel.
• Optional: an auxiliary fuel pressure sensor, if you want to use the two 1/8 NPT ports in the adapter housing for bootmod3 CustomROM v2 fuel pressure support. Not included.
• Basic hand tools supplied by the installer, plus rear seat removal to access the factory fuel hat. No cutting, splicing or fabrication is required.

• bootmod3 does not publish an official part number for this kit and no SKU is recorded against this listing, so no part number is shown.
