Evolution Racewerks Sports Catted Downpipes – BMW M2 / M3 / M4 (G87 / G80 / G82, S58)

OVERVIEW

Evolution Racewerks Sports Series High Flow Catted Downpipes replace the restrictive factory catalytic converter downpipes on the twin-turbo S58 in the 2021+ BMW M3 (G80), M4 (G82) and 2023+ M2 (G87), while keeping a catalytic converter in the system. The factory ceramic converter is a major flow restriction; swapping it for a high-flow 200-cell metallic core gives exhaust gas much larger passages to move through, which means faster spool, less turbo lag, sharper throttle response and more power.

Metallic catalyst cores handle higher temperatures than the factory ceramic unit, last longer and weigh less. The downpipes are built in-house in the USA from 304 stainless steel with mandrel-bent 3" tubing, fully TIG welded, with a CNC machined billet 3.5" turbo V-band flange, the O2 sensor in the factory location and the factory donut-style flange and slip-on connection retained, so they bolt up to the stock exhaust or any aftermarket system built for the factory downpipes.

Additional Parts Required

• ECU tune (strongly recommended): high-flow catalysts can trigger catalyst efficiency fault codes on factory software. Choose one: Bootmod3 Tune – BMW S58 M2 / M3 / M4 or MHD Super License – BMW S58.
• ECU unlock (if your ECU is locked): Speed Logic ECU Unlock Service – BMW S58.
• No additional hardware is needed; all installation hardware is supplied by Evolution Racewerks.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish an installation guide or video for these downpipes.
• Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory downpipes using the turbo V-band, factory donut gasket, factory slip-on connection and factory O2 sensor location.
