OVERVIEW
The GR Supra's B58 is a Valvetronic engine, so it makes little or no intake-manifold vacuum — which is exactly what a conventional aftermarket blow-off valve relies on to open. HKS's Super SQV4 kit for the Supra is engineered to deliver a proper blow-off valve sound on this engine anyway.
It is a complete bolt-on kit, not just a valve. It replaces the factory resin charge pipe with an aluminum pipe that has the SQV mount built in, which improves durability and cuts airflow resistance. The valve itself is HKS's Super SQV IV: a pull-type sequential design where a small primary valve opens instantly on throttle lift and then pulls a larger secondary valve open, giving clean release across the whole boost range without leaking. Vented to atmosphere, its triple-fin funnel gives the sharp, high-pitched HKS sound.
Two versions are offered. 71008-AT021 vents to atmosphere. 71008-AT022V adds the suction return kit for cars running the HKS Carbon Racing Suction or Cold Air Intake, recirculating the air into the intake for a quieter, inspection-friendly setup.
