OVERVIEW

KW Variant 3 is race technology for the road. State-of-the-art motorsport damper technology is packaged in a street coilover kit with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping, so the chassis can be set up for the way the car is actually driven.

The exclusive KW patented damper system uses dual-level valves: rebound damping is adjusted for ride comfort, while compression damping controls the driving dynamics. Both are adjusted independently, and ride height is continuously adjustable. This version is bundled for F80 M3 and F82 M4 models built with Adaptive M Suspension and includes the EDC cancellation kit needed to retire the factory electronic dampers.

Additional Parts Required

• None. KW specifies no additional hardware for this bundle — the EDC cancellation kit required by Adaptive M Suspension cars is already included.
• A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any ride-height change.
• Professional installation is strongly recommended; spring compressors and BMW-specific strut tooling are required.
• Check tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance before driving, particularly with non-OEM wheel and tire sizes.
• Vehicles fitted with ride-height sensors (adaptive headlights, driver-assistance cameras) must have those systems recalibrated after lowering.
