KW Variant 3 Coilovers (Non-EDC) – BMW M4 Convertible (F83)

OVERVIEW

KW Variant 3 is race technology for the road. State-of-the-art motorsport damper technology is packaged in a street coilover kit with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping, so the chassis can be set up for the way the car is actually driven.

The exclusive KW patented damper system uses dual-level valves: rebound damping is adjusted for ride comfort, while compression damping controls the driving dynamics. Both are adjusted independently of one another, and ride height is continuously adjustable. This kit is for the F83 M4 Convertible without Adaptive M Suspension.

Additional Parts Required

• None. KW specifies no additional hardware for this kit — it is built for cars without Adaptive M Suspension, so no EDC cancellation module is needed.
• A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any ride-height change.
• Professional installation is strongly recommended; spring compressors and BMW-specific strut tooling are required.
• Check tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance before driving, particularly with non-OEM wheel and tire sizes.
• Vehicles fitted with ride-height sensors (adaptive headlights, driver-assistance cameras) must have those systems recalibrated after lowering.
