Mishimoto Skid Plate – BMW S55 M3 / M4 (F80 / F82 / F83)

OVERVIEW

The F80 M3 and F82 / F83 M4 carry their engine oil cooler low at the front of the car, protected only by a plastic undertray. A rock, a curb or a track excursion is all it takes to damage the core. The Mishimoto skid plate replaces that plastic with a direct-fit 5052 aluminum plate in a corrosion-resistant black powder coat.

Protection doesn't cost you cooling. A purpose-built diffuser with preinstalled foam sits behind the oil cooler and creates a low-pressure zone that pulls air through the core. If you need more ground clearance, the diffuser comes off and the plate stays on. A front cutout clears CSL-style lips.

The plate works with both the factory oil cooler and the Mishimoto performance oil cooler, and it is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Additional Parts Required

• None. Mishimoto specifies no additional hardware for this part. The six screw clips from the factory oil cooler undertray are reused, so keep them when the stock panel comes off.
