Precision Raceworks / BMP E9X / E8X Modular Bucket-Less Fuel Pump – BMW N54 / N55

OVERVIEW

The Black Market Parts (BMP) modular bucket-less pump, sold through Precision Raceworks, replaces the factory in-tank low-pressure pump on E8X and E9X N54 and N55 cars. It deletes the fuel bucket for a simpler install and slightly more flow than a bucketed design, at a lower price.

Each pump comes pre-assembled with the OEM connector that plugs straight into the factory fuel pump top hat. Stage 2 and 2.5v2 run a single pump with an open slot for a second; Stages 3 to 3.75v2 run dual pumps with all wiring and the activation switch included.

Because there is no bucket, the pickup can uncover at low fuel level or under sustained cornering. Keep at least a quarter tank in the car and choose a bucketed pump if the car sees road-course use.

• Bucket-less design; plugs into the factory top hat with the OEM connector
• 100% E85 compliant; no aftermarket EKP module required at any stage
• Modular: Stage 2 and 2.5v2 have an open expansion slot for a Stage 3 or 3.5 module

• Precision Raceworks E-Series Fuel Pump Lock Ring Tool (601-0045) — needed to release the factory fuel pump lock ring; not included with the pump; sold separately (not stocked by Speed Logic).

Notes

• Bucket-less pumps should not be run below a quarter tank and are not recommended for road-course use. Choose the Precision Raceworks E9X / E8X Bucketed Performance Fuel Pump for track work.
• Matching BMP expansion modules (601-0019 family) are available to step a Stage 2 or 2.5v2 pump up later; sold separately (not stocked by Speed Logic).
• Some European-spec cars may need to reuse the factory top hat because of emissions differences.
