Precision Raceworks E9X / E8X Bucketed Performance Fuel Pump – BMW N54 / N55

OVERVIEW

The factory in-tank low-pressure pump on the E8X and E9X N54 and N55 was sized for a stock car. Add a bigger turbo, port injection or ethanol and the LPFP becomes the limit, showing up as low-side pressure falling away at the top of the gears and the tune pulling timing.

The Precision Raceworks bucketed performance pump keeps the factory-style fuel bucket, so the pickup stays flooded under sustained cornering and at low fuel level. That makes it the right choice for track cars and anyone who regularly runs the tank down.

The design is modular. Start with a Stage 2 or 2.5v2 pump and add an expansion module as the build grows, or buy a higher stage outright. Stages 2 through 3.75v2 are offered here as kits (assembly required, reusing your original pump housing); Stage 4 ships fully assembled and drop-in ready.

• Stage 3.75v2: Walbro 535 primary + Walbro 525 secondary, 7.3 LPM, 1,150 / 975 whp, 8.68 lb
• Stage 4: three Walbro 450s (two in the bucket, one outside), 1,300+ / 1,150+ whp, 9.59 lb
• Stage 3 and above ratings assume the Precision Raceworks in-tank filter and regulator is fitted
• 100% E85 compliant; no aftermarket EKP module required at any stage
• Modular: Stage 2 and 2.5v2 accept the Stage 3 / 3.5 expansion modules; Stage 3 and 3.5 can step to Stage 3.5 or 4; Stage 3.75v2 steps to Stage 4

• Some European-spec cars may need to reuse the factory top hat because of emissions differences.
