OVERVIEW

The Speed Logic 5 Bar MAP Sensor is a genuine OEM BMW sensor that lets the factory ECU/DME read boost well beyond the roughly 45 psi ceiling of the stock unit - up to about 58 psi. It is fully plug and play, dropping into the factory chargepipe location with no adapters, no custom harness and no modifications, which avoids the extra wiring and fabrication that aftermarket AEM, Holley, Haltech or ProEFI sensors require. It works with the factory ECU/DME provided your tuner rescales the MAP sensor using the voltage values published below, and it is a common requirement on single-turbo B58 and S58 builds that are pushing past the stock sensor's limits.

Required Extras

• A tune whose MAP sensor scaling can be changed - the sensor will not read correctly on a stock map. MHD Super License: B58, S58, Toyota Supra B58.
• bootmod3 tune: B58, S58, A90/A91 Toyota Supra.
• Give your tuner the rescale values listed in SPECS and ask for an updated map with the 5 Bar scaling and related fuelling corrected before you drive the car.

Installation

• No installation document is published for this sensor. It unplugs and replaces the factory MAP sensor in the chargepipe - roughly a two minute job with hand tools - and the rescale values your tuner needs are listed above in SPECS. Our team is available to help if you have questions.
