Active Autowerke Signature X-Pipe with GESI Cats – BMW M3 (E9x)

OVERVIEW

The Active Autowerke Signature Track Pipe with X-Pipe and connecting pipes for the BMW E9X M3, supplied here with GESI G-Sport ultra high flow catalytic converters. Engineered to work with most aftermarket exhaust systems and mufflers as a true bolt-on with no cutting, welding or modification, it improves on the factory X-pipe design with a scavenging effect and saves a great deal of weight — 25 lbs against the factory system's 40 lbs — for gains of 12+ RWHP on Active Autowerke's Mustang chassis dyno alongside their Signature exhaust system, or as much as 10+ RWHP with the BMW stock exhaust. Its two 4" high flow GESI converters will not produce a CEL: proprietary precious metal loading greatly reduces emissions, while the reduced back-pressure lets the engine make its power without the harmful emissions.

Additional Parts Required

• None. Active Autowerke specifies no additional hardware for this part — it bolts to the factory style flanges and works with the stock rear exhaust or most aftermarket systems that use factory style fittings.

Installation

• Please Note: These catalytic converters are not legal for use on vehicles registered in the state of California as a result of California Vehicle Code Section 27156 and 38391.
• NOTE: Federal law prohibits the tampering of an emissions control device. Mobile Source Enforcement Memorandum 1A allows for aftermarket parts to be used in the repair or replacement of emissions control systems, provided the emissions are not adversely affected. There is no mention or reference to cell density or converter volume dimension. The GESI catalytic converter will produce emissions that will meet the standards set by the EPA, not CARB.
