Pure Turbos Stage 2 HF Upgrade Turbos – BMW M2C / M3 / M4 (S55)

OVERVIEW

Pure Turbos' industry-leading S55 Pure Stage 2 (High Flow) upgrade for the F-Series M platform. Your stock S55 turbochargers are rebuilt with a Pure billet compressor wheel and a larger, stronger high-flow turbine wheel, an upgraded heavy-duty steel thrust bearing, and a CNC-ported inlet — then VSR balanced to tighter than OE tolerance. OEM housings are retained, so the turbos bolt back into the factory location.

Pure dyno tested this setup at 632 whp in 2014 and has since tuned it to deliver over 700 whp on a properly supported car.

• Core return window: full refund if cores arrive within 60 days; partial 61–90 days; no refund after 90 days. Cores must be complete, unmodified and rebuildable.
• Warranty: 12 months from shipment date, unlimited mileage, non-transferable

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Custom ECU tune — mandatory. Pure states: do not go wide open throttle without a proper tune. Flash options we stock: MHD Super License for F-Series S55 · bootmod3 S55 tune.
• New gaskets and O-rings — required. Add Pure's S55 install kit at checkout or source your own.
• Core turbos. Ship your stock S55 turbos in, or pay the refundable core deposit and return them within 60 days.
• Turbo heat shield removal or modification may be required for fitment.
• Fueling headroom is the practical limit on this turbo — E85 blends and/or upgraded high-pressure fueling are needed to reach the top of its range.
• Commonly paired (not required by Pure): Speed Logic S55 3" catless race downpipes.

Installation

• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube and first-start / break-in procedure — official Pure Turbos guide.
• Pre-lube the turbo through the inlet and spin the compressor by hand before startup. Use no thread sealant on oil feed fittings.
• Crank 10–15 seconds with fuel disabled to build oil pressure, then idle 5–10 minutes without revving. Keep boost and throttle light until tuned.
• Pure Turbos core return sheet (PDF) — include this with your core shipment.
