Evolution Racewerks Sports Series High Flow Catted Downpipes – BMW M2 Competition / M3 / M4 (S55)

OVERVIEW

Evolution Racewerks Sports Series high-flow catted downpipes free up significant exhaust flow on the S55 twin-turbo engine in the F80 M3, F82/F83 M4 and F87 M2 Competition, while retaining catalytic converters. They deliver most of the performance benefit of a catless design with emissions equipment still in place.

Each downpipe uses mandrel-bent T304 stainless tubing and a 200-cell high-flow catalytic converter, and bolts in using the factory flanges and hangers. Three finishes are offered: Brush, Mirror Polish, or Ceramic Thermal Coating.

Additional Parts Required

• Supporting tune REQUIRED after installation to prevent check engine lights and realize the performance gain (sold separately): Bootmod3 S55 Tune, MHD Super License – S55, or Burger Motorsports JB4 – S55.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish an installation guide or video for these downpipes. They bolt to the factory turbocharger outlets and reconnect to the factory or aftermarket exhaust using the supplied gaskets and hardware.
