Pure Turbos Pure Stage 2 Upgrade Turbo – BMW N55 (E & F Chassis)

OVERVIEW

The Pure Stage 2 is Pure Turbos’ OEM-based turbo upgrade for the N55. Pure rebuilds your factory turbocharger with an upgraded billet compressor wheel, a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded CHRA, while keeping the OEM housing for a factory-like installation. Pure Turbos rates it as 550+ whp capable, with results depending on fuel and supporting modifications.

This is a core-exchange upgrade: send your turbo to Pure first, or pay a refundable core deposit ($300 for pneumatic-wastegate / PWG turbos, $500 for electronic-wastegate / EWG turbos) and return your core after your upgraded turbo arrives.

Additional Parts Required

• Custom ECU tune: required by Pure Turbos for engine safety and to reach the rated power. Tuning platforms we sell: MHD Super License – N55 (E-Series), MHD Super License – N55 (F-Series), Bootmod3 N55 F-Series Tune, or the Burger Motorsports JB4 (N55 E-Chassis / N55 F-Chassis).
• A core that matches your turbo: either send your original turbocharger in first, or pay the refundable core deposit (PWG $300 / EWG $500). The core must be the same wastegate type you order. Include the Pure Turbos core return sheet with your core.
• Turbo inlet: an upgraded inlet is strongly recommended. Pure’s E-Series and F-Series silicone inlet kits are options on this listing.
• Turbo gaskets, O-rings, and oil and coolant line seals: single-use items that should be replaced during installation. They are not supplied with the turbocharger.
• Supporting fuel system: needed at higher power levels. Confirm your fueling before ordering; we can advise.

Installation

• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube and break-in procedure (manufacturer FAQ): pureturbos.com/faq. Pre-lube the turbocharger through the oil inlet, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost / light throttle until the car is properly tuned.
• Pure Turbos does not publish model-specific installation instructions or videos for this upgrade. Installation follows the factory turbocharger replacement procedure for the chassis; professional installation is recommended.
• Pure Turbos core return sheet (PDF): pure-turbos-core-return-sheet.pdf. Print it, fill it in and include it with your core shipment.
• Before sending your core to Pure, remove all accessories and hardware from it (oil lines, coolant lines, actuators, inlets and similar). Pure discards anything that is not part of the core unit.

Notes

• Send-in option: lead time starts once Pure receives your turbo.
• Core deposit option: the deposit is refunded once your factory turbo is returned to Pure within 60 days of receiving your upgrade.
• Choose the inlet kit and DV/BOV option that matches your chassis: the E-Series inlet fits the 135i / 335i / 335is, the F-Series inlet fits the M235i / 335i / 435i / M2, and the M2-only valve versions are for the F87 M2.
• Pure Turbos includes a limited 1-year / unlimited-mile warranty.
• Legal notice: these parts are for off-road use only and are legal solely for competition racing vehicles as defined under California law. They are not legal for use on public roads.
• Price is for the turbocharger only; labor is not included.
